  • The challenge is for every disciple to engage in the four strategies.

Journey Together has a family friendly schedule.

  • Our format fits families well.
  • Men’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry meet on Wednesdays as part of Journey Together.
  • There are incredible ministries for preschool, children and students.

Journey Together is an every Wednesday experience.

  • Wednesday nights combine the opportunities of multi-week courses and ministry opportunities as well as regular “Gatherings.”

Agents of Babylon: What the Prophecies of Daniel Tell Us about the End of Days

Video study by Dr. David Jeremiah

Facilitated by Michael Farley

Study Guide $12.00, & a no book option, Room: H100

Daniel, a young man taken as a captive to Babylon in 605 B.C., didn’t think of himself as a prophet until God began speaking to him in dreams, visions, and wise understandings that came true. Some things he prophesied came true in his lifetime and shortly after he died, which gives us great confidence about those prophecies yet to be fulfilled. Daniel’s prophecies were delivered to and through a cast of characters that Dr. David Jeremiah calls, “the agents of Babylon.” The agents were kings and rulers, royal counselors, animals, angels both good and evil, and inanimate objects like trees and statues. All play a part in the unfolding story of Daniel in Babylon. In Agents of Babylon, Pastor Jeremiah introduces the agents and the role they played in the most exciting prophetic book in the Old Testament. As prophecy after prophecy of Daniel is fulfilled during and shortly after his lifetime, our confidence grows that the remaining prophecies God gave him will be fulfilled in the future.

6:30 PM CLASS OPTIONS

Biblical Theology (Core Class)

Taught by Al Green

No charge

Room: H182

“What we think dictates the way we live.  What you believe determines who you are and what you do.  It drives your every move, thought, decision, action and reaction.  It determines how you view life and the things around you.  It is your worldview, your doctrine.  In short, everyone has a doctrine, so we better make sure we know what it is we believe and why!”   This quote from “Why I Believe Ministries” underlines the necessity and importance of studying Biblical Theology.

Jesus gave to the church, “some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ.  Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching.”  Ephesians 4:11, 14

It is our desire to fulfill this ministry, as a church, to you through the study of Biblical Theology, as presented in the Baptist Faith and Message.  But we do not intend it to be a sterile intellectual study.  We will discover these foundational truths of our faith couched in the everyday conversations and activities of our Savior and His disciples recorded for us in the Gospel of John.

Understanding The Bible (Core Class)

Taught by Creston Harris

Room: H184

The Bible is not always an easy book to read. Some versions use outdated English. Many sections seem boring, mysterious, or obscure. You may be surprised to find that the Bible is really quite understandable. It is a single message, told through many authors over hundreds of years. Understanding the Bible will enlighten those who have read scripture all their lives as well as those new to the Bible and Christianity.

Women’s Ministry: Breathe

Video study by Priscilla Shirer

Facilitated by Tamar Miller

Study Journal $12.00

Room: Fellowship Hall

One of the greatest challenges amount women in our culture is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We are in bondage to busyness. We constantly strive to complete the limitless to-do lists that hinder us from experiencing all that God has for us. By neglecting time for tranquility, serenity, and repose, we limit our Christlikeness and miss out on some of God’s greatest gifts. In the Old Testament, Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift to us today. If you are weary, worn out, and exhausted, join us to see what God’s solution is to our busyness.
