Becoming a member of McGregor Baptist Church is not a means of spiritual salvation, rather it is a means of joining fellow Christ-followers of a local church. McGregor has implemented a new membership format for people looking to become part of our family of believers - we call it "Discovery". Previously we broke down our membership classes into 101,201 & 301 sessions on Wednesday evenings. Discovery will be consolidation of these classes into a single format offered on Sundays to allow our newest members to quickly connect to McGregor life. Offering this process on Sundays makes it available to more new members and prospective members than it has been on Wednesday nights. Discovery will be offered in two ways for new and prospective members to choose from:
- The Discovery Class - A six week class at 8:00 AM on Sundays to discover what McGregor is all about. You will learn what we believe, our purpose, how we function, what we expect and how to grow. You will also have a time of self-discovery, where you explore how your passion, personality, God given spiritual gifts, natural talents, and experiences have uniquely equipped you to serve an important role here at McGregor. This class will be offered three times a year and childcare is provided.
- The Discovery Workshop – A Sunday afternoon workshop that begins with lunch at 12:30 PM and lasts for four hours. The Discovery Workshop covers the same material as the Discovery Class over one afternoon rather than six consecutive classes. This workshop will be offered three times a year and childcare will not be provided.
