Grief Share - Your Journey from Mourning to Joy
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
God’s Word calls on us to bear one another’s burdens. Grief Share is the comfort ministry of McGregor Baptist Church, designed to help those who have lost someone they love. This recovery support group is intended to help the person who is hurting and lonely following the death of a spouse, child, other family or friend. It is sponsored by those who understand the depth of pain felt when we lose someone close.
Grief Share uses video and discussion to accomplish its purpose. Videos feature top experts on grief and recovery and real life stories of people who have been through the death of family or friends. It is followed by a time of small group discussion, allowing participants to interact with others who have experienced similar loss. Video topics include such subjects as:
- When dreams fall apart
- When your spouse dies
- The seasons of grief
- The emotions of grief
- Your family and grief
Each is self-contained, allowing you to start any time. Attending in sequence is not necessary. Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the FAITH Building. The room is selected closer to the start date. Sessions run for 12 weeks.
