In preparation for the Member Meeting on July 12, 2020 at 5:00 PM and with much prayer and careful consideration, the Elder Body and the Deacon Body have finalized a group of new Deacons to be presented to the congregation. The Elder Body previously presented and recommended this group of brothers for them to be added to our current Deacon Body and begin serving as Deacons. If you are a McGregor Member or Associate Member, please use this guide to prayerfully consider how God would have you vote for all of the candidates.
Being a gift to the church, the role of Deacon is that of a servant, whose primary responsibility is to safeguard the health and unity of the church by meeting the logistical needs of the church and the practical needs of those at risk of marginalization. (Acts 6:3-4, James 1:27)
Tom and his wife Debbie have been members since 1983. They’ve been married for 43 years. They have three children: Thomas & Jennifer Haberkorn (daughters – Abigail & Hannah), Ryan Haberkorn, and Matthew & Rebecca Widder (daughter – Eden, son – Landon).
Brad and his wife Melloe have been members since 2000. They’ve been married for 42 years. They have three children: Andrew & Brittney Runnion (children – Blakely & Bradley), Ryan & Megan Rumpel (sons – Canaan & Jules), and Brandon Nash.
Dick and his wife Christine have been members since 1978. They have two sons: David Tatro & Ryan Chase. Dick served on staff here at McGregor for almost 20 years as our church administrator. He was chairman of the Finance Committee for many years.
As you consider these men to possibly become Deacons, the Elders of our church want to know of any concerns or
questions that you might have about any of these men before we present them to the congregation for a vote at the Member Meeting on July 12 at 5:00 PM in the Worship Center.
